Sylvania Community Arts Commission offers theater workshop

Does your child have a flair for the dramatics and an affinity for the art of song and dance? Do they draw attention to themselves with their grand theatrics? Then it’s likely you have a natural born performer on your hands.

In order to give kids the opportunity to take the stage, Sylvania Community Arts Commission is putting together a Summer Theatre Production Workshop of “King Midas and the Palace of Gold: The Musical” and they’re inviting kid actors, singers and dancers, ages 10-17 to come out and learn what it takes to put on a show in two weeks or less.

During the camp, students will rehearse for 8 days and bring the popular tale of King Midas to life by performing this upbeat musical in front of a live audience on August 4.  Let them express their love of performing with this special opportunity that’ll let them shine on the stage.

July 25-August 5. Mon-Fri 9am-noon daily.
Show on August 4.
