Nurturing the little Einstein within

The best way to help children learn is with hands-on experiences, allowing the child to choose what interests him/her and the ability to pursue that interest.
Maria Montessori first developed this non-traditional way of educating children in the late 1800s and it is the foundation for Montessori schools around the world.   Einstein Montessori is the newest Toledo edition for children two and a half years old through kindergarten.  “I’ve been a Montessori teacher for almost 20 years,” said head instructor Elizabeth Rugila who obtained her certification through American Montessori Society.  “It’s such a wonderful way to learn.” Rugila added that this method allows children to take ownership in their education; when they figure out and master a skill, it stays with them for life.
The school is a beautiful 7,500 square foot open space that includes a playground and picnic area.  Besides their “work” activities (as they are referred to in Montessori), children experience yoga, dance, music, art, and more.
