Ever wonder what it would like to be president?
The Toledo Public Library is challenging aspiring K12 writers to embrace the 2016 presidential election by writing in on how they would influence the country if they were elected president as part of the annual Ruth Blank Venner & Mary Jane Blank Mccormick essay contest.
Contestants are asked to submit their essays by April 4, and categories are divided grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12.
First place winners receive $200, second place $100, and third place $50, so there is plenty incentive for students to visualize themselves in the Oval Office.
Entry forms can be picked up at any of the Toledo Public Library locations, and are available on their website.
