Local Youth Invited to Shine at Italian Bowl XLIV

Organizers of Italian Bowl XLIV are inviting talented young theatrical performers — both boys and girls ages 8 to 12 — to audition for a unique chance to entertain during the pregame and halftime festivities of “Broadway in Love – a Wicked Good Time!”

Young vocalists in the 8–12 age group are encouraged to audition for the opportunity to perform alongside Broadway stars Libby Servais and Stephan Stubbins during halftime. This dynamic dup (a married couple) have Broadway credentials and local roots — Libby is a proud Maumee High School alumna celebrated for her performance as Glinda in “Wicked.”

Ten finalists will be selected to perform the National Anthem at the game, with two standout performers ultimately chosen to join Libby and Stephan onstage for the halftime show.

The auditioning process

To apply, young artists must submit a video that includes a brief self-introduction and a one-minute performance of a song of their choice. Performances may be accompanied by backing tracks or performed a cappella. Applicants are encouraged to select a song that showcases their vocal range and personality.

Auditions will be accepted from May 11 to May 19, and applications can be accessed— and videos submitted — via: theitalianbowlusa.com/info/halftime-show.
