With the CDC approving the Pfizer vaccine for kids ages 5-11, the Toledo Lucas County Health Department has announced where children can receive a COVID-19 vaccine. A parent and/or legal guardian must be present with the child and be able to provide a photo ID in order for their child to receive the pediatric Pfizer vaccine at all locations. For a list of places to get your child vaccinated based on your location and to register for the following clinics, visit the Get the Shot website.
Another resource for families is offered by all Toledo Lucas County Public Libraries: FREE at-home COVID tests. To take advantage of this resource, simply call your local library, tell them how many tests you need (you can receive up to five), give your name, and go pick it up. They will likely put the test by the book drop-off with your name on it. It’s as easy as that!
