Fossil Park

Cost: Free, registration required

Location: Olander Park, Sylvania

Every aspiring anthropologist’s dream is to dig up the long-forgotten remains of a dinosaur. Explore “one of the only two prime Devonian Era Sites on the entire planet.” This park hosts several other events during the Fall season.

Indian Creek Zoo

Cost: Adults $12, Seniors $11, Kids $10
Dates/Hours: 10AM-5PM
Location: Lambertville, MI

Close encounters of the mammal kind is guaranteed to be delivered at Indian Creek Zoo! Hate the pesky restraints and distance between you and furry friends? A walk through this park will satisfy the most hands-on patron.

Friday Night Family Cruise on Sandpiper Boat

Cost: Adults $19, Kids (12 and under) $11
Dates/Hours: Friday Nights, 6PM
Location: Downtown Toledo

Fancy a cruise down the Maumee river with a guided tour of the Toledo coastal life? Hop on the Sandpiper and allow all your worries to be washed away in the gentle sway of the river ride.

Glass City Balloon Race

Cost: Free admission and parking
Dates/Hours: September 27-28, Friday 4-11PM, Saturday 3-11PM
Location: Rossford

If you’re not afraid of heights, this is the event for you. Helicopter and balloon rides, races, food vendors, beer garden, live music. What’s not to like?

Black Swamp Arts Festival

Cost: Free admission
Dates/Hours: September 6-8
Location: Bowling Green, OH

Hundreds of booths featuring fine art will line the historic streets of downtown Bowling Green the first weekend after Labor Day. Stroll to the biggest live music festival around as you sample amazing food from local vendors. Adults can even stop by the Beer Garden for a spiked refreshment!

Toledo Metroparks

Cost: Free admission
Dates/Hours: Sunrise to sunset

Home to dozens of hiking, biking, and horse riding trails, beautiful nature sites, play areas for children, fishing and more. With 17 parks spread around the Toledo area, challenge yourself to explore each of them before the end of Summer! Perrysburg Farmers Market

Cost: Free admission

Location: Historic downtown Perrysburg, OH

Think fresh as we wrap up the end of the Summer season with homegrown flowers, herbs, fruits and vegetables, fresh baked goods, garden art and gifts, and more.

Cedar Point

Cost: End of season admission as low as $45, parking $20

If you have not crossed one of the largest roller coaster parks in the country off your list this summer, now is your chance. Home to some of the largest and fastest coasters around, Cedar Point is sure to entertain just about every age group. If you didn’t think you could get an island experience in Northwest Ohio, you were wrong! Field of Dreams Drive-In Theater

Cost: $25 per carload. Food permit $10 per car (you can bring outside food and drink!)

Movie theater seats can be uncomfortable, and there are always people talking, ruining the experience.
