Whether he’s directing, producing or acting, you can always count on Clint Eastwood to make great movies. This time he directs Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman in the true story of how Nelson Mandela joined forces with the captain of South Africa’s rugby team to help unite their country. The newly elected President Mandela believes he can bring his people together through the universal language of sport. So he rallies South Africa’s underdog rugby team as they make an unlikely run to the 1995 World Cup Championship match. This film is both an inspiring story and a thoughtful look at a piece of history.

Rated PG for some mild sensuality, a scene of violence, and brief incidental language and smoking. In theaters 12/25. Ok for kids 12+. 4 out of 5 Reels. Official Site:
This lovely film finds Emily Blunt playing Queen Victoria during the turbulent first years of her reign. Rupert Friend plays Prince Albert, the suitor who wins her heart and becomes her partner in one of history’s greatest romances. The love story, set amongst all the pomp, circumstance and intrigue of the court, also features Paul Bettany, Miranda Richardson, Jim Broadbent, Thomas Kretschmann and Mark Strong.

One Reel – Even the Force can’t save it.  Two Reels – Coulda been a contender.
Three Reels – Something to talk about..  Four Reels – You want the truth? Great flick!
Five Reels – Wow! The stuff dreams are made of.
