Great Lakes Community Partnership Head Start Programs Now Enrolling

The Great Lakes Community Partnership is seeking new students for the 2022-2023 school year. Through GLCAP Head Start, children can receive no-cost, full-day preschool that focuses on kindergarten readiness, socialization, and other important developmental needs for children and families.

Children enrolled in the program will attend classes Monday-Thursday during the school year, and a daily meal and snack will be provided at all centers. Children are also provided with medical, mental health, nutrition and dental services and will participate in daily hands-on activities. Families will receive at least two home visits and two parent-teacher conferences as needed.

Eligibility is determined in part by income based on federal poverty guidelines. Program staff will look at each family’s situation to assist them in finding the best option for their  circumstances. GLCAP encourages families to call for assistance and service details.

Children in foster care or who do not have homes are also eligible, regardless of income. Children with disabilities are welcome and accommodated at all centers. Center locations are in Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wood counties.

GLCAP also offers Head Start opportunities through child care partners and family child care providers.
