Bennett’s Orchard

Take a short drive to Ottawa Lake to do some apple picking and pick up freshly pressed apple cider and cider doughnuts right from the oven. This place has been open for over 60 years, so they know what they’re doing! They also offer honey, eggs, maple syrup and more at their country store.

Little ones can enjoy a corn maze and playground filled with corn kernels at this beloved Oregon fall spot. Before you select your pumpkins from their patch and pet the farm animals, make sure to partake of their extensive cider doughnut selection, sip some hot cider, and maybe even indulge in a “doughnut dog,” a fried dough corn dog that is worth the hype.

Gust Brother’s Pumpkin Farm

Pick pumpkins, buy fresh flowers and crafts, pet farm animals and wander the corn maze before you finish the outing with delicious cider and doughnuts. Gust Brother’s is a 20-minute drive from Toledo and is totally worth going off the beaten path.

This is one of the few local farms where you can find cold-pressed, unpasteurized cider with zero preservatives (according to their website). It is made from the MANY varieties of apples that you can pick at the orchard. The doughnuts at Johnston Fruit Farms are out of this world as well, with more than a dozen flavors to choose from.

At Kapnick Orchards, they use UV light in lieu of pasteurizing their delectable cider, which you can enjoy hot or in slushy form. They are celebrated for their cider doughnuts as well as their other baked goods, like the breads and pies you’ll find in their bakery.
