Lucas County Parent Advocacy and Leadership Project Hosts Parent Café

The Lucas County Parent Advocacy and Leadership Project invites parents and caregivers to participate in its upcoming Parent Café, a free community program designed to foster connection, learning and support among families.

The Parent Café will take place on Thursdays, November 6, 13 and 20, from 5:30-8pm at the East Toledo Senior Center, located at 1001 White Street.

Meaningful conversations and shared experiences

Participants can look forward to engaging in open, roundtable discussions with other parents and caretakers who share similar joys, concerns and questions about raising children.

These guided conversations offer a chance to exchange ideas, learn from one another and build a stronger sense of community.

Dinner, childcare, and transportation provided

To make participation accessible for all families, the Parent Café will provide dinner, childcare and transportation at no cost. The goal is to remove barriers so parents can focus on connection and personal growth.

Resilience, relationships, knowledge, support, and communication

Guided by their motto—resilience, relationships, knowledge, support and communication—the Lucas County Parent Advocacy and Leadership Project aims to empower parents with tools and confidence to strengthen their families and community ties.
