Engines, Education and Entertainment at Wood County’s Annual Safety Fair & Cruise-In

On Saturday, May 17, the Wood County Museum and Safe Communities of Wood County is holding its 3rd Annual Safety Fair & Cruise-In. This rain or shine event is free for the community to enjoy an up-close look at fire trucks, police cruisers, first responder vehicles, tractors, farm equipment and construction equipment.

At the event, there will be vendors specializing in safety information, a kid’s zone with activities, bounces houses and an inflatable obstacle course. Guests can also enjoy a tractor show by Power of Yesteryear with antique tractors.

In addition to the Safety Fair, a a passenger car cruise-in invites guests to bring thier new, classic and antique cars to the museum. The car cruise-in is free to attend/bring your car. A suggested $25 donation is available to get a shirt.

Additionally, Safe Communities of Wood County is kicking off the “Click It or Ticket” campaign that focuses on sharing the importance of wearing a seatbelt. There will be a ceremony for the “Seatbelt Survivor” awards.

For hungry guests, food trucks including Root’s Poultry, The Hot Dawg Hut and BG’s Lemonade King food trucks will be onsite.
