Birthdays have always been a big deal in my family. No matter how old you are, everyone deserves to feel special on their birthday – even if the celebration isn’t extravagant every year.
Starting this year, I have the exciting opportunity to make my daughter’s birthday special. While this year’s celebration might not be one she will remember when she is older (she will be one this year), there is so much to celebrate. I am not wishing time away, but we are already in the process of planning her June birthday party. We are going to have a story book theme, highlighting some of the books we have enjoyed reading to her in her first year of life.
