Now that spooky season is behind us, it’s time to shamelessly indulge in holiday happenings. Though the promise of cold weather is a little troubling, I can’t help but look forward to cozy nights inside with plenty of hot cocoa and pajamas matching my toddler. This is our toddler’s third Christmas and every year feels different and exciting in a new way.
In this issue we embrace the holiday season with a guide on how to give back to the community through donating and volunteering. Local organizations seek help from the community year round, however, the holidays are a great time to intentionally support a cause that is close to your heart. Whether you are able to give time, money, clothes or food, we explore ways you can make a difference in our community this holiday season.
We’re also celebrating and supporting local businesses with our holiday gift guide, featuring a variety of unique and thoughtful gift ideas for everyone on your list. Shopping small and local is the perfect way to find meaningful gifts for loved ones.
In our disability guide, we cover important topics, such as mental health resources for your child, accessible winter activities and insight from an expert on parenting a child with an invisible disability. For online exclusives, giveaways and more, visit toledoparent.com.
Happy holidays,
