With school out for the summer, it can be tough to schedule endless days of healthy fun for kids and teens. This summer youth fitness program brought to you by the City of Toledo might be your solution. From now through July 26, a certified trainer will be running the Go Tyme Grynd summer youth fitness program in Toledo, free for all participants.
This program is a great way for young people to stay active during the summer and will guide them in building a strong foundation for healthy living. The program will run every Tuesday and Thursday from 12 – 2:30pm and will take place at the Jamie Farr Park on N. Summit St.
Leading the program is an ISSA Certified Elite Trainer, DeAndre “Coach Poo” Gaston, who created this program to help young people experience physical fitness in a way that is safe and fun. The purpose of this program is to get younger people excited about fitness and encourage them to make the healthy choices that will boost their quality of life for years to come. The program also fosters a welcoming environment for all, and well definitely participants’ routines through a growth mindset.
