Toledo is now accepting applications for its 2026–2027 Youth Services Grant Program, an initiative designed to expand high-quality youth programming across the city. The program supports efforts that strengthen educational outcomes, workforce readiness, health and overall community well-being for Toledo’s young people.
With a total of $500,000 in funding available, the City is investing in programs that provide meaningful summer and school-year experiences that help build skills, stability and long-term opportunity.
Program overview
The Youth Services Grant Program aligns with Toledo’s commitment to supporting young people and families through enriching, engaging activities. Funding is intended to help community organizations deliver programs that:
- Improve academic performance
- Promote career exploration and workforce development
- Support physical and mental health
- Strengthen neighborhood and community connections
The City encourages applicants to consider hosting programming in Toledo’s parks and recreation facilities, which are available for use pending approval.

- Application Deadline: February 18, 2026 (by 11:59 p.m.)
- Submission Platform: Submittable
- Funding Period: June 1, 2026 – May 30, 2027
Grant awards for this cycle will primarily be issued as reimbursement grants.
Reporting and compliance requirements
All funded organizations will be required to:
- Submit detailed monthly reports
- Provide receipts and documentation for all expenditures, including payroll and purchases
- Register as a vendor with the City of Toledo
- Maintain commercial general liability insurance of $1,000,000, naming the City as an additional insured
- If transporting youth:
- Provide automotive liability insurance
- $500,000 coverage for awards under $40,000
- $1,000,000 coverage for awards $40,000 and above
Organizations may include increased insurance costs in their proposed grant budget if applicable.
Funding will be distributed only after all required documentation is completed and approved.
