Private Princess Parties: Addie’s Closet Parties brings Easter fun, in-person or online

Changes have been made across the country over the past year. Luckily some companies have adapted to those changes for the better. Take Addie’s Closet, an area party service that began a few years ago as a children’s clothing retailer.

At the beginning of last year, the company started hosting parties with people dressed as pop culture characters like princesses and comic book heroes. Now they’re working on their upcoming Easter socially-distanced parties, and have a variety of personal options for families near and far.

Party Time Excellence
Courtney Frost, owner and founder of Addie’s Closet Parties, named the company after her daughter. “We started character services January of 2020”, Frost explained,  “and when COVID hit we discontinued our clothing sales as most were coming from overseas.” The services turned out to be popular, with characters such as the Ice Queen visiting or hosting kids’ parties around the area.

With characters chosen, Frost began offering additional services with the costumed characters, such as snack machine and inflatable amusement rentals. Beginning with just princesses, Addie’s Closet Parties has now branched out into offering visits from characters like superheroes, Miraculous Ladybug, and “Siwanator”, a JoJo Siwa look-alike. Most importantly for this time of year, the Easter Bunny has started working with Addie’s Closet Parties too.

Hop-py Holidays
“We have two super fun Easter Events coming up that are fully engaging and affordable,” Frost explained. The Eggtastic Easter event on March 28th combines all of the costumed characters the company has into one event, with an egg hunt, dance party, and more planned. Then on April 3rd the company will be hosting a larger Easter Egg Hunt, which includes local businesses handing out eggs along with their other services.

If you cannot leave your home, however, Addie’s Closet is able to bring parties to you. The Easter Bunny can be hired to come and hide pre-filled eggs around your yard while the family watches. Due to social distancing guidelines, Addie’s Closet also hosts get-togethers with their costumed character over Zoom calls, including free virtual experiences during the week.

If you cannot make it to the free events, Addie’s Closet can set up virtual interactions where your children can talk with the costumed characters. Plus a program called Addie’s Wishes allows children who are in the hospital to get free virtual visits from their favorite character.
