The learning curve

Children with ADHD and dyslexia lead the typical lives of average kids—they may even have above average intelligence.  However, learning challenges and teasing from peers can make them feel different, or even stupid.  Northwest Ohio Parent to Parent is taking great strides to make sure these feelings of inferiority stop.
As the school year begins, so does Parent to Parent with their upcoming conference on Saturday, September 11 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Holland Free Methodist Church located at 6605 Angola Road in Toledo.  Speakers include Doctors Bruce and Cindy Pasch discussing topics concerning ADHD.  Subjects range from acclimating students with dyslexia and ADHD to the classroom to inspiring success in an academic atmosphere.  A panel, ranging from a 17-year-old author to esteemed doctors, will help parents and teachers with personal struggles and questions.
Additional information and continuing education options are available through the Northwest Ohio Parent to Parent website.  To register for the conference, or for more information, visit  www.nwoparenttoparent.org.
