Fort Meigs Continues Second Sunday Games

On the second Sunday of every month, Fort Meigs holds an event where families are invited to play tabletop games together.

During “Second Sunday Games,” there are two categories: Kids and Historical Miniatures.

The Kids category includes simple games for little ones to learn numbers and sportsmanship skills. They get to enjoy playing easy and fast paced games that encourages adventure and decision making.

Older kids and adults are invited to participate in the Historical Miniatures category. These scenarios will teach participants about history and commanding an army as they are taken through time to historic battles from Ancient Greece to modern times.

Fort Meigs staff and volunteers monitor these games.

Regular admission to Fort Meigs gets you into Second Sunday Games. This admission also grants guests access to the Historic Fort, museum, film room and classroom space. However, the outdoor fort is closed annually from Nov. 1-April 1.

From November to March, adult admission is $5; seniors admission is $4; ages 6-18/ student admission is $3. Ohio History Connection Members and kids five and under get in for free.

The last two Second Sunday Games will take place on Nov. 12 and Dec. 10.
