Stride Rite closing on Monroe St.

Kids will have one less place to get shoes at affordable prices. Retailer Stride Rite’s longtime Monroe St. location is closing for business. The kids’ shoe store plans on shutting its doors no later than Memorial Day, or as soon as all current stock is sold. This was the final Stride Rite storefront remaining open in Toledo, as the chain’s Spring Meadows location closed several years ago.
