Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School and Lourdes University recently signed a Catholic Commitment Agreement, which guarantees admission to Lourdes to promising students at select Catholic high schools in the region, and nationally.
Three and a half year-old Aashish, a male Indian Rhinoceros, arrived Thursday, May 17, to The Toledo Zoo’s Tembo Trail. Much younger and significantly more active than the other rhino’s the zoo’s housed in the past, Aashish will be a very welcome resident, and an enormous wonder of a beast.

Lucas County’s newest park, Howard Marsh Metropark, opened at the end of April. Previously a working farm, the park property was purchased by the Metroparks with two partners, The Ohio Division of Wildlife and the Clean Ohio Fund, in 2008 for $6 million.
