Three and a half year-old Aashish, a male Indian Rhinoceros, arrived Thursday, May 17, to The Toledo Zoo’s Tembo Trail. Much younger and significantly more active than the other rhino’s the zoo’s housed in the past, Aashish will be a very welcome resident, and an enormous wonder of a beast.
Toledo’s Imagination Station, a local gem of scientific exploration, has recently installed a new exhibit, Body Worlds RX, set to open Friday, May 11. We sneaked inside for a peak. Not sure the sense of sight and the eye will ever be the same… can’t peak without them.

A Toledoan was named as an Ohio semifinalist for the 2018 Ohio National Geographic State Bee. Sarah Boellner, 8th grader at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School, was one of only 100 Ohio fourth through eighth graders chosen by the National Geographic Society to compete in their annual spelling bee.
